Vuyo is an experienced media practitioner, having worked for more than 15 years for several newspaper groups in the country. In his capacity as media strategist over the years, he has delivered on projects for diverse clients in the public and private sector.

Besides having business, brand-management and political acumen, Vuyo has acquired a Bachelor of Law, a Bachelor of Social Science, a post-graduate degree in Sociology, and a raft of tertiary diplomas, in dispute resolution, media and marketing.

Robyn Leary, Copy Editor

Robyn is a 30-year plus veteran of the South African media industry – and has the grey hairs to prove it. With a BA Honours degree in Journalism and Linguistics from Rhodes University, she has worked for both the mainstream media and the B2B communication sector.

An experienced copy editor and writer, working as a freelancer since 2016, Robyn serves a diverse client list, which includes African NGOs, industry stalwarts Media24 and Habari Media, self-published authors, online bloggers, and technology start-ups. As an associate member of the Professional Editors Guild, Robyn is committed to ongoing professional development, to feed her obsession with the semi-colon.

Feroza Miller-Isaacs

Feroza Miller-Isaacs, Copy Writer & Media Strategy Specialist

Feroza is another of Skyeagle’s media veterans, having three decades’ experience in the field, both as an editor and a journalist for magazines and newspapers. She is also one of those genuinely good people, doing volunteer work for animal rescue, which she believes teaches her gratitude and humility. Feroza’s daily mantra revolves around being ethical and professional, remaining relevant and constantly evolving.

Armed with a Diploma in Journalism, Feroza kicked off her career at a Cape Town daily newspaper in the 1990s. She topped that experience off with a stint as news editor of a popular English tabloid and, latterly, as editor of a group of 10 weekly community newspapers in the Western Cape.

Aurelia Mbokazi-Kashe, Communication Specialist

Not only does Aurelia bring 25 years’ worth of experience in media and communication, but she also has a wealth of expertise in managing and delivering multidisciplinary projects in partnership with teams across Africa, including for the African Union.

With a BA Honours in Journalism and Media Studies and a postgraduate certificate in Development Communications from Wits University, and a certificate from GIBS Business School’s Social Entrepreneurship, Aurelia has produced high-quality content (including strategy, books, presentations, and branding materials) for a variety of corporations. One of her many talents is that she instinctively finds innovative ways to turn complex research and data into clear and compelling stories.
